Taormina is one of Sicily’s most romantic hilltop towns which boasts a stunning view of the Mediterranean Sea. Situated on the warm waters of the Ionian Sea on the East Coast of the island, Taormina is laden with arresting scenery, including unrivaled views of Mt. Etna.
Pitched on a hill of the Monte Tauro and overlooking 100 miles of Mediterranean Sea, Taormina is one of Sicily’s most spectacular destinations. Greek and Roman architecture and history are plentiful throughout the seaside town. A visit to the world-renown Greek Roman Theatre, the second largest classical theatre in all of Sicily, is an unforgettable experience.
