Naples and Capri in a Day Tour
Your Presto Guide meets you at your Naples hotel or Naples Garibaldi Train station and introduces you to the highlights of Naples and the beautiful island of Capri.
Your Presto Guide gets your fast ferry tickets and you boat out to Capri. According to Greek mythology, Capri is the Island of Mermaids and was a favorite resort of the Roman emperors. From the Marina Grande, we’ll take the cable car up to the historical center of Capri and learn about experience the romantic island. For lunch, order a delicious sandwich at a local deli and then we head back to Naples.
Naples’ historic center is bursting with life with its cafes, bakeries, gelaterias, shops, street performers, and chatty locals. It is certainly a must-see city in Italy and one that oozes old-world charm.
Naples is home to the inventions of the mandolin and six-string guitar. The city boasts the oldest state university in the world, the University of Naples Federico II, and the largest historic city center in Europe. Architecture, music, culinary delights, art and vibrant culture abound here. It is a bustling metropolis which boasts some of the most eclectic sites in the country from world-class museums and architecture to neighborhood football games and shops which transform into private homes at night.
We will delve below its’ surface, both figuratively and literally. A visit to the underground caves and sculptures which are beneath Naples offer a glimpse into life over the centuries. Destinations include Cappella Sansevero, the underground caves at Via dei Tribunali, and the Cathedral of Naples.
A stroll in Naples would be incomplete without a pizza stop and so we’ll bring you to a local artisan pizza place where you can grab a slice. There are vegan options as well.
