Venice City Tour

Venice is built on 100+ islands in a lagoon on the Adriatic Sea. Find romantic canals, St. Mark’s, & the Rialto Bridge. Walk through the center of Venice with us to visit world renowned monuments including St. Mark’s Square, Doge’s Palace, St. Mark’s Basilica and the Rialto Bridge. Learn about Napoleon’s reign in Venice and how his rule affected life and culture here. Hear the stories behind the art, the artists, and the gorgeous city which was once the most prosperous city in Europe.

We’ll take you through the center of Venice offering stories of the past and pointing out magnificent frescoes and sculptures throughout the city. You will see the outside of Doge’s Palace which housed the elected Doge (the leader of the city also known as the “Duke”) who served a lifetime appointment. See the famous Bridge of Sighs and discover the colorful history behind its name. Visit St. Mark’s Basilica, its remarkable architecture and majestic golden mosaics. Our tour ends after passing by the Rialto Bridge where the Grand Canal truly comes to life.

“I began to feel that the old Venice of song and story had departed forever. But I was too hasty. In a few minutes we swept gracefully out into the Grand Canal, and under the mellow moonlight the Venice of poetry and romance stood revealed… There was life and motion everywhere, and yet everywhere there was a hush, a stealthy sort of stillness, that was suggestive of secret enterprises of bravoes and of lovers… Music came floating over the waters−−Venice was complete.” – Mark Twain, The Innocents Abroad.
