After the tour you are able to stay inside St. Peter's Basilica as long as you like but unfortunately the Vatican tickets do not allow for re-entry into the museums and Sistine Chapel. How the Vatican ticket works is that once you leave the Museums/Sistine Chapel area of the Vatican to access St. Peter's Basilica, you cannot re-enter into the museums on the same ticket. If you'd like to spend extra time inside the Museums/Sistine Chapel then you could either decide to skip the St. Peter's Basilica segment of our group tour and part ways with your guide after the Sistine Chapel or you could re-enter the Museums/Sistine Chapel on a different ticket. If you decide to skip the St. Peter's Basilica segment of the tour please be sure to tell your guide in advance as your guide will worry if he/she has lost sight of you.
